Work in the studio starts from January 2nd.  I am heavily covered because I am using fluorescent pigments with an acrylic medium.

When completed, the work will be shipped to a hyoguya (installer) in Kyoto to be made into byobu (folding screens).
This will be exhibited in a space designed by Tadao Ando.
It will be shown under black and normal lights controlled to the minute by a computer.

I finish off working on the details with a brush.  Regardless of the size of the work, the fine details create a sense of realism.

The appearance of the work changes drastically depending on its dimensions, so we made an accurate scale-model of the venue.
